To recognize and help stop human trafficking.
Human trafficking is a huge problem worldwide, with an estimated 29.6 million cases, most commonly occurring in Asia and the Pacific. The United States has an estimated 199,000 incidents occurring each year. Most of these cases are never reported. For example, in 2021, 10,359 situations of human trafficking were reported to the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline involving 16,554 individual victims.
